....to stop and take things into perspective. (have you ever felt really small?) If not, this should do it for the first time. The first picture is ten million light years outside our galaxy. (light year: the distance light travels in a year at the rate of 186,000 miles per second) From there, they zoom in at a magnification rate of 10 every time. details are posted at the top of every picture.
Before you ask how they know what it looks like, they can look out and extrapolate what it looks like looking back. after all..... it's just points of light in a dark expanse.
Please excuse the name of this web site... I frown on the name but it has a lot of interesting stuff...
