| We were at the Lazy E today. Pappasito is still there. They don't know when he is leaving. The first 2 are Coronado Cartel. He's the bay with 4 white feet. The next two are Pappi. He has the 2 white feet and more white on his face.

He's pretty crippled on that right front. They injected his coffin and it got severely infected. It ended his race career. He wasn'ttoo lame 2 years ago. He was pretty lame the other day. |

My picture of Coronado does not do him justice. He's a lot nicer than my angle shows. He is massive and has an incredible hind end. As much as I LOVE Pappasito, I have to admit Coronado is even nicer. |

Yep. That's why he only won $32,000 and why he had so few races. It was right before a big race that he'd qualified for that this happened. Really a shame. No telling how good he truly should have been. Not a lot of race people want to breed to a stud with less than $100,000 in earnings. |

It made me sad to see that foot... He looks better in your pictures than he did when I saw him back in March. I thought he looked a little ulcery to me this spring.
Coronado is a stunning model of a horse. |

Location: West Texas | Both those horses have funny looking front right legs and feet.....does this not concern any of you about them as breeding sires? Maybe just the way his is standing, Coronado's back right is really out too. Confirmation and soundness would be on my mind.
Both are really fine boned, especially up front. I would cross them on a heavier boned mare in hopes of balancing that out.

We have a filly by Pappasito out of a dtr of Chicks Beduino. We love her correct conformation and personality. She's also built like a brick "outhouse". |

I have to respectfully disagree with you on all counts. Having seen both horses in the flesh and traveling, they travel true and are both correct. Both are far from being fine boned. Coronado Cartel has beautiful feet. I have a Pappasito 2 year old and she is very correct, has really pretty feet and has good bone. If you knew what a POS phone I have that these pictures were taken from, you'd understand how nice these horses truly are. The stallion manager was not trying to set them up for a pretty picture. They were simply standing. Judging by your avatar, I assume you have a stallion of your own? A horse does not run the way Coronado did if they have poor conformation. At least not QH's from what I've seen and been around. |

Not to be critical...but SKM probably made them look as bad as you possibly can in these pictures They are both incredible to look at. |

You must have missed where I said I have a POS phone I took these with. And in my defense....I was seriously like a tween girl at a Justin Bieber concert. Any picture of something you idolize is better than nothing. *sigh* I freely admit my picture taking of Coronado in particular sucks. |

SKM....I promise you I am not being critical, lol. I had about 75 pictures of Pappasito and only two that I would show anyone!
....I didn't take any of Coronado, because I was so consumed with LOOKING at him |

| To give some perspective to my obsession with Pappasito and Coronado...I have seen, in the flesh, some of the greats. Easy Jet, Hempen, Royal Quick Dash, Mr Eye Opener, Go Flight, Bully Bullion, Easily Smashed, etc. I have never been like a giddy schoolgirl over any of them like I was over Pappi and Coronado. If they could talk...I probably would have screamed, burst into tears and fainted. It's that bad.

I think they are both unbelievable.
I just think Pappasito looks so racy.
Coronado looks like a roping horse, I love how stout he is. |

Location: The Oklahoma plains. | I agree with SKM- Coronado may be near perfection but I am far from a conformation expert. I just know one of my best friends was very close to him while he was running and she is an expert imo- and she would text me pics of him on the walker saying how he was one of the best she had ever seen with her own eyes! (wish I still had the pics) I have not seen P in person. But thanks for sharing- even if they are phone pics :)
I want to think I heard they paid CC into FF??? Maybe I dreamed that? |

Ouch - I know I definitely overlooked him thinking he must've been a dud on the track.
As well built as he is....and as much as I love Strawberry Silk's influence - he's definitely on my list now. Bargin for those bloodlines. |
