The plastic type straps that rig the fenders on my saddle are wearing through, kinda scary. Has anyone had these repaired through circle y? I bought the saddle new from a local tack store over a year ago. I don't have the brochure anymore so I'm not sure if they will fix it or if I should just pay a local guy to put leather straps on instead.

I bought a used Jackie Jatzula and the biothane is worn. When I get around to it..I'm going to send it back and have them replaced with leather. They can keep their biothane.
Call Circle Y as I know they have replaced some on warranty.

I will call in the morning. All I gotta say is they better replace it AND pay for shipping. Gheez I know circle y isn't the cream of the crop but this saddle is only 15months of use

The quality is a joke and they aren't exactly cheap.

Exactly. My next treeless will be a Bob Marshall for sure.

Mine did the same thing...kinda scary yes because that strap can snap at any time. Emailed Circle Y and they sent me a postage stamp and claim number...they replaced them for free with new leather ones.

I'm sorry that's happening to you, but I am not surprised. A good friend of mine bought one of those brand new - can't remember if it was a Tammy or Jackie model. It was complete crap! I couldn't believe the quality of the leather (or lack thereof), the biothane stirrup hangers, the un-even stitching and on the seat under the left thigh I think it was it felt like a lump. She dumped it pretty quick.

I emailed customer service. Quick response they will pay for shipping and fix the saddle for free! Replacing with leather I assume. Now I just have to figure out if I need to take my saddle to fedex or if it will be picked up! :)

Soon as I got my Tammy we pulled the plastic ones off, got some leather, put the buckles on the new leather strips and punched holes. Theres no way I was climbing my big tail up and down on those flimsy plastic strips.
