Yes ^^ this is true - they do sometimes squeak. My boyfriend uses them on his rope horses and he really likes them.

I really like mine, I do clean it constanly, and it doesnt squeak...but its older than dirt  and my horses rarely break a good sweat :)

Location: Michigan		Like them especially for riding multiple horses. Take it off after riding one, rinse it and it's dry by the time the next horse is saddled. It does squeak on one horse we have & only when she's running. We have the weaver brand
