I was wondering what are the best crosses for smart little Lena , dual pep, docs hickory bred horses . My mare has allot of tun but not allot of stride in her . Wondering if sons of (DTF, streak a fling , Frenchmans guy) Etc cross well or not .

The only fast Smart Little Lenas I have ever seen were always crossed on Freckles Playboy or Greys Starlight bred studs. I know that doesn't seem like the obvious answer to add speed, but something about those crosses just works.

I have a Hollywood Dun It bred gelding that is crossed with Sunfrost...who I know is not running bred really...but performance bred (Bozo's breeding) and he can really run for a small guy. He's actually Sunfrost on top and Hollywood Dun It on bottom. Generically haha...same grandsires, different sires.

Your mare is bred very similar to mine. I have been thinking about breeding her to Perks Alive. I'm pretty sure that mare Jane Melby ran at the NFR a couple years ago was bred similarly on the bottom side but I can't think of her name for the life of me to look it up.

My mare has a pretty decent amount of run on on her . She's had limited Hauling but she places in the 1D quite often . She just is a really short strided horse.
