They appear to be really deep seated. Do they ride and feel that way? I have a 14 inch Billy Cook and it seems shallow like I can never really sit my butt down in it. Do the Allen ranch saddles sit you deep? Do their seat sizes run true to size or run big or small? Looking at a 14 inch and the seat looks much smaller than my 14 inch Billy Cook.

It really depends on the saddle. I have always felt more secure in the Allen Ranches than other saddles. I had one that was a really really deep seat. I had one after that that it wasn't necessarily deep but secure. The one I have now is pretty comparable to the second one. Not necessarily deep but secure. I'd say they run true to size but I like mine with a little wiggle room and not snug. I weigh about 135 with ride a 14 if that helps. Stanley that owns it is super easy to talk to and very informative if you have any questions. Hope that helped some.

In my opinion, they don't sit you very deep. I had an older style and a newer style, they were both 14s, but I thought the newer one ran just a little smaller.

I have had mine for 12 years and it has been a great saddle. Very well built saddle and Stanley is great to work with. Mine is on a original Allen ranch tree and I stay in it very well. IMO they are great saddles and of excellent quality. The only thing I wanted on mine recently were the forward hung stirrups and Stanley fixed it right up for me! Conchos are still on and the saddle is in great shape. I weight 135 and I am 5'5 and Mine has a 15 inch seat...my bottom is a little large And my saddle has fit every horse I have owned!

Stanley builds several different kinds of saddles. The older style has a 4" cantle and fits everything I have put it on. He makes a flex tree now and puts a 5" cantle on some saddles if you want. I've seen bear trap type swells and he made my custom modified cutter/barrel saddle recently. You can't classify his saddles as anything specific, because he makes so many customs.
I made ONE run in my daughter's Allen Ranch and sold my Caldwell ProMax the next day. I didn't realize that I was fighting the saddle so much in a turn..and I've never had a saddle that put me right where I needed to be like the older style Allen Ranch barrel saddle does.
