Does anyone do this or know of doing this? what ratio of water do you mix with alfalfa? Wanting to try this on the day of the show! So will prolly be feeding before hauling! Any suggestions?

I mean I guess you could soak it. I've done that before for really dusty alfalfa. I just stick the flakes in a bucket, fill it with water, and let it sit for an hour or two while I was doing chores. Never heard of just doing this before competing, probably not the best idea to be introducing new things to the diet on the road. I just feed it every day.

I soak my alfalfa cubes in water, just enough to cover them really. Are you asking about soaking cubes or pellets or alfalfa hay itself?
I wouldn't try something new the day of a race though.
