I know a teenage girl, that is in need of a horse. Her family is in what I believe to be temporary financial distress. I actually don't know them that well, but i am very close with her grandfather. I offered to loan them a horse, to finish the season. Pride, or whatever reason we do silly thing, they don't want to do that. How much would you charge somebody to use a 6-7 year old 2d horse?

around here a half lease (3 days per week) goes for about $150. I pay for hay, shoes, vet, etc. If someone wants a performance half lease it is $300 and they pay for half the shoes, supplements and any maintenance (injections) etc or any vet bills directly caused by them.

Omg I've been just lending my 3D gelding out for free and making them pay for all my gas. I should really charge something but how do you go from basically free to asking for money

The mare I leased for 6 years we just had to pay for shoes on, then any hauling charges and some fees if her owner assisted us at shows. Nothing additional, but that is not a normal lease by far.
