| Anyone want to share their videos from the weekend just for fun. No negatives. Figure that's what this site is all about :)...I always think its cool to see the different arena set ups, ground, and horses from all over the country. |

Location: Dearing, GA | My videographer went to saddle a horse during my "run" but, I'll update! I posted about having confidence issues, and my friends encouraged/threatened me into actually loping the pattern on my colt at a barrel race. So I did! And he didn't kill me. And I didn't fall. So I think it was a good weekend.

okay Y'all dont make fun of me for riding "like a fat girl" to the first. I wasnt sure that we were allowed to circle...(rodeo minded)...and later I realized that we were. I was WAY WAY WAY behind. He leaved too hard for me right now. First barrel was NOT GREAT haha. This was at a memorial race in Andrews, Texas...the outdoor pen. It was pretty boggy in places so we kinda had a weird set up. I desperately need to learn to get comfortable going from a stand still to a run on this horse to the first, use my saddle horn, stop eating so many cupcakes, and do some freaking crunches....but not riding two handed to the first is pretty foreign to me from riding so many babies. Anyways....despite the fact that we were three strides by I was 3 tenths off the winning time (only sixty girls) and we were 5th. NONE of what went wrong in that run was his fault. He sure was trying. I couldnt really kick because my saddle has a bad stirrup leather and I was afraid it would fly off....haha. So....here it is.

Location: Feeding mosquitos, FL | I have to brag. I've been entering my 4yo a few times, trying to get him seasoned and it has been less than fun. He's been a CHALLENGE for me for sure. He can get panicky if you take a solid hold of his face so it's a fine line to walk when he needs direction without hitting the panic button and I have been known to get a bit handsy during a run. It all came together Sunday and I actually rode my horse correctly. He was a tenth too fast for the 4D in a scary pen with a really short score and lots of outside distractions.

That was at Johnny Butler's in Jennings, FL, a stone's throw from the Georgia line.

Location: Washington | I didn't run this weekend but my daughter's did. My oldest ran both Saturday and Sunday. Both days she was just out of the money in 2D Open and 1D youth. So she didn't bring home any money but is proving she can be competative with the big girls. These were her 2nd and 3rd races running with adults. Not sure about Saturday but Sunday's run was good enough for 17th out of 120 runs. My youngest joined us on Sunday and her big sister ran her through the pattern in pee wees. Husband was hunting all weekend so made for a fun weekend with our girls.

| Our little mare that we have high hopes for had her worst run ever, going to give her a few months off for her feet to heal up. Then our gelding had a decent but slow pattern and clocked 1.5 seconds off, he didnt try to kill my daughter so all is well! |

Well thank you! When I have my act together, he rewards me and makes it worth it. Though some days he can make me feel like I need to go back to the pony you can ride for a quarter outside Walmarts and start over.
OMG I am a sucker for a bay. I've always wanted one and somehow I ended up with a pasture full of various colors of red. |
