What is her speed index? I see she won some money. I like her papers well enough. I was thinking the JS have some poor feet, so if hers pass that and she is what you like, sure!

She's got an 81 SI per Equibase. She was run in mostly claimers. Her dam won a decent amount on the track as well. She's got decent earnings compared to what a lot of barrel broodmares are. I don't know if she would be a top pick for race track babies, but I haven't looked at her catalog page to see her female family.

Might depend on how much they want for her but she might make decent. Has a solid pedigree and a performance record.

I love that she has Kiptydoo in there. I have a mare that is by a daughter of Kiptydoo. Are you crossing for the track or barrels? Are you wanting to keep or sell? Essentially what are your goals?

I would be breeding for barrels. I woukd either sell as a yearling or hold on for a few years to futurity and then sell.

From some one who has raised several horses, here are a few thoughts
1) full siblings can be completly opposites
2)  how their handled/raised can make a huge difference
3) not every horse will bloom with just anyone

All of these have decent resale and are under or at your 2000 limit.

Shawne Bug Leo
On a Gator
Sweet First Down

The last couple has more in common line breeding wise with your girl. I don't know how you feel about linebreeding but any of these might generate you a solid foal with decent resale.

I used to work personally with Jess Special. He is a stunner and always produces the NICEST colts around. He is one of the cheapest and one of the best producing own sons of Mr Jess Perry. Not a fan of his personality myself (He is a very proud stallion with strange personality quirks that he doesn't seem to pass onto his foals), but they are gritty horses that can flat out run. You can't go wrong with a daughter to be honest.

My favorite Jess Special was out of a daughter of This Snow Is Royal, but we have crossed him on tons of mares. Even cowbreds to produce lovely barrel horses. He has several very successful 4yos starting to race now.

Oh and to add, Jess is VERY marketable to racehorse owners. He has produced more than $4.4 million on the track.
