I love my Sore No More Clay Poultice...especially making multiple runs in a row or standing in the trailer for long trips in between. It goes on really smooth...you dont have to use much....and if you dont have access to water to rince off it brushes off very easily!

check out the leg paints made by Hawthorne. You can call the office and talk to Kim, the owner, and she is a WEALTH of knowledge. She comes from and was raised in the race horse industry so her knowledge of leg health and rehab is amazing.

I had a bow earlier this year and I never painted it.. i had heard it is basically an external blister and kind of irritating for the horse if we are talking about same thing.. Other than maybe like a poultice taking out swelling/ making the leg "tighten", what is the benefit in it? forgive me if i sound ignorant I just wondered that when my horse bowed... good luck either way!
I bought some from the track and was warned if there is still heat it will blow up but it will shrink down fast. And I now speak from experience - It really will get huge if there is heat! It is an internal blister. It does shrink fast though. I had one bow in April and you can't even see a bow now. I need to have it ultrasounded but I bred her since she was going to be off for a while.

that's what I'm thinking, breed her and give her extra time off just because I am not in a hurry and don't want to take any chances
