found this on the internet.... interesting that back in the early 1900's what people did and now a person can be prosecuted. This was a way mothers could make sure their child would get enough sun, if they lived in a apartment.
I know a lot of newborn babies can have jaundice so doctors prescribe them to be out in (shadded) sunlight for 30 minutes, morning and night, to help soak in vitamin d and help the jaundice go away but I would never even consider putting my baby outside of a window like that!!
