Why is she doing this? Boredom,just being mean,etc.

Location: The best kept secret in TX		I've always heard it was a vitamin deficiency... But that was when we had cattle chewing off tails... So I have no clue. Curious tho...

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas		I have one that will chew off tails, I keep a salt block in his stall and it stop him from chewing off tails off my other horses, if he dont have a salt block then he gos back to chewing tails.

Location: Washington. (The DRY side.)		Did this happen "overnight" or over a peroid of time?  I've had some that "accidentally" caused the other horse to loose part of it's mane because they scratch each other ON THE MANE, instead of on the neck or back.
