Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
Jesus and His disciplies were in a boat when a terrible storm came up. The disciples woke Jesus up with their panicked cries that they were going to die. Jesus quite calmly saying " You have little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He causally rebuked the storm and they were all safe. He knew He was more powerful than any puny storm, after all, He spoke the world into being. A storm was nothing compared to His power.
He asked the disciples why they were afraid to make the point that they're with Him, they have no reason to be afraid. Jesus is more than capable of keeping things from falling apart.
Sometimes, we're not fearing the situation , like a storm, but we're fearing ourselves. we don't trust ourselves to do the things right. ur whether we're fearing a situation or ourselves, we're not believing Jesus is able to solve any problems that arise. We're thinking our screw ups are more powerful than Jesus, and that's ridiculous. He's able to give us the help and strength we need. He's definitely bigger than any of our failures.
Do you fear anything inside yourself? Are you insecure about anything in particular? Give it up to Jesus and walk forward, despite the fear, TRUST Jesus to take care of you. You have no reason to fear.
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You Amen
