I recently bought a saddle pad with a lot of cream color in it. especially on the ends of the saddle pad that touches the horse if that makes sense. I got it because I thought white would really look nice on my mare, but after the first ride I can see that it is easily going to stain and not look so white for long... :-( I was wondering if anyone uses some sort of stain protector spray like this (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Vectra-32-oz-Furniture-Carpet-and-Fabric-Protector-Spray-Vectra-22-32oz/100670364) or something similar to keep their white saddle blankets and boots white? any recommended products? or bad side effects I should be aware of?

Maybe Sotchguard?? I've been told to use that on white sport boots... maybe worth a try to a saddle pad??
yea thats what I was thinking... just wondered if I would have to worry about it causing any reaction if it leaks onto her through sweat or anything... or if it was safe to use on wool. I have never used it my self. but I really think she would look sharp with some white boots and reins to go with her new pad. :-)
