This thing has been on there prob 12 years or so. We tried WD 40. It comes off a little, but takes the paint with it :(. We are having a hard time getting it to peel.
An eraser wheel works wonders or you can get a heat gun (make sure to always move the gun. Do NOT just hold it) and use a razor blade to peel it off. (Peel at an angle)
We had to do this a got some spray on stuff from a place that does vehicle decals. Sprays on and you let it sit and wipes the glue right off! We removed the decals first with heat gun but this stuff allowed us to just wipe off the stubborn glue. Can't remember what it was called but if you call a place I am sure they will know. Good luck!

After removal ... you will still see the spot or lettering of the decal due to sun baking the paint differently ...
To cover up the visible difference or shadow lettering ... you may have to put on another decal or paint several light coats over a larger section of the trailer to get it to blend in and not be noticeable ...

Kettle of boiling water. That is what I used for mine. Works like a charm. We do that in the autobody shop as well. Doesn't leave any glue. Boil the kettle, pour the water over the decal slowly and it will peel right off. You can also punch out plastic car bumpers like this too... they go back to shape really nice.
We used the power washer to take the decal off the trailer my friend bought. It is a little faded in that spot, but that's just because it had been on there for a while. No paint went with it with the power washer.
