What are some of your favorite and most creative barn names you've heard? I am getting a new horse and I would like to rename it something that I dont hear all the time. TIA!

I've had Halle and Pebbles, then one I came up with was Shazaam. I'm looking for a new horse too, and I'll probably just keep whatever name it comes with.

My horse came with a barn name I didn't really like...Boomerang, Boomer for short, sometimes baby boom-boom when I'm feeling silly. The reason she got this name was because of the wicked turning style on her first barrel...one second your headed to the fence, milliseconds later your facing second barrel, it's like an instantaneuous change of direction! She "slings around it FAST" so, the name is stuck, though she has a beautiful reg name...Blazen Peptolena. 100% cutting bred, but will take your money in the barrel pen, lol!

I have one I bought they called Too Tall, he's 16 hands. I never bothered to change it because I am terrible at coming up with names. I had one called Jitterbug called him Jitter for short. My colt is called Hex, I named him after the movie Jonah Hex.

My current horses names are thunder, tucker, champ, cimarron, Lacey, dolce, jasmine, and Hemi. Jasmine is bred to Guys first down fame for an April/may baby and regardless of gender, that baby is going to be named Sway as a barn name. I also like Swerve and Sonic though.

Thanks all. I went with Luna, Spanish for Moon. Her name is Six Moons Lady Bug. I did not want a Moon because I previously rode one and Luna was more feminine

A few interesting names I have heard:
Lefty (went to left first)
Jack (as in he acting like a jack "donkey")
Jill (Jack's girlfriend.)
Enid (bought in Enid Ok)
and Poke  as in Slow poke.

Most of my horses I had as a child were old roping or ranch horses that came with names like: Mare, Son, Boy, Red, Brown, Grey, Spot, or Hank. LOL
