I would suggest a Double J Pro or Pozzi.
Be sure and ride in a Crown C before you buy. I had one and while I felt centered when I was running in it... I would never say I felt secure in the seat.

Which of these would you guess would be for a appendix back. He has really nice withers. I know a 8" is too wide for him unless I shim which if I am buying a saddle for him I would like to have it fit him perfectly. I know just by guessing you wont know for sure but it will give me a place to start looking for saddles to try.

The only thing you're going to get an 8" gullet in is a Martin

I really like my Crown C. I think it has a deep seat and I feel more secure in it than My Marlene Eddleman or a treeless.
This. ^^ My mare leaves the barrels hard. I was having a tough time sticking with her. I saved up and bought a Crown C. I LOVE it! I can now keep up with her and rate better.
