Location: Dubach, LA | The story is long and sad. It involves the usual traders and liars, but Flash will have a happy ending if we can get him from LA to MO. Who from MO comes to Jackson for Billy WWebb's Christmas Race? I can bring him to Jackson -
Rest of the Story - I bought this FWF gelding sight unseen (lesson learned) off this site. He had obviously survived a tragic injury and turned out to be on again off again cripple. I took a big loss but he left here with full disclosure. She tried to get him barrel sound and sold him. They couldn't get him barrel sound so gave him to a family with a little girl. Said girl has quit riding. He is light riding sound. A little while after I sold him, I found his breeder and talked to her. As a young foal, he was savagely attacked and left for dead by a pasture gelding. He had broken ribs, possible broken vertebra, and tons of soft tissue damage. He hardly has any muscle tissue on the right side of his neck. He was dead lame the entire first year of his life. He was breeding sound and she had an offer so she sold him as a stud with full disclosure. That lady breed him for a while, cut him and sold him as a barrel prospect. I can't tell you how many time he has changed hands. His current owner would like to see him retire with a forever home. His breeder has said that she will take him back and keep him forever. We just need to get Firewater N Angels home. Who can help me find a ride for him from LA to MO?

Yes me too. I've collected about as many dogs and horses my husband will allow but I still feel compelled to do more when I can. I still find it so strange my friend saw the post. With the new baby she doesn't have lots of free time to be on BHW. Talk about fate!!! I didn't get to meet this boy when she had him as a baby. Can't wait to see him soon!!! |

Just heard from Chandlersmom. Flash is almost home and has hauled like the champ he is.
It's been a long day. Sean and I handed Flash to his daddy at 4 this afternoon in Marshall AR. Kristi just sent me a picture of him with his head in a hay net and in a nice warm stall at home! It was so cold and rainy when we unloaded that I forget to take pictures.
I feel so blessed by being able to be involved in the least little way in getting this sweet, well-mannered, beautiful boy home. CanCan deserves a halo for her part! And Sean did all 11 or so hours of driving--he gets the hard part just because his girlfriend is a horse nut. The people we met in person or by phone or by text during this journey have made me realize there are still decent and honorable folks out there. This horse and his story have touched people over the last few days; my friends think it's great that he's come full circle back to his real home. I'm sure this morning he probably wondered where he was being sent to now, but he loaded up and was nothing but a perfect gentleman during our time with him. If ever a horse deserved a happy ending, it's this one. God bless everyone that had anything to do with today's homecoming. . . . |

I'm in the same boat---wanted to post them too and don't know how!
If you make a post, down at the bottom there is a little check box that says "attach a file after posting".
If you check it, after you hit submit it will give you a typical browse box, and you can just link to the picture.
So glad you kind people got this horse home!
How do I make the file smaller? And I apologize cause I know this has been explained 1000 times!
It was an honor to help him get home. And have met some wonderful new friends in the process.

Location: In The Snow, AZ | The only way I know how is google search a picture resizing program. Pick the pictures from your file and drag them to the resizer and pick the size. Hope you find something that works! I can't wait to see him! |

He is also pasture sound, so she said if weather permits then she will try to walk him around this weekend and see how he does. Here's hoping he is sound as can be and will make a perfect "pony" for Miss Ava Grace in a couple of years! |
