I have a bay with a crispy mane and tail LOL. I want to try to color it black use a deep conditioner and then put on an equine SPF. Will that work like I think it will?

We have a black mare with that kind of mane. We put her on Omni cubes and round bale of grass hay plus THE performance with ulcer prevent and joint and inflammation added and lo and behold her mane is not dry and tangled and it is a nice black color, no fading at all. I actually think it is a nutrition problem rather than a cosmetic one. My gelding is on Omni cubes and Cur-Ost Total and his mane and tail do not tangle and look like I take care of it like a show horse, but I don't. I love both these products.

What do you mean by crispy mane and tail?
The ends have turned red/orange and fried. Does that make sense?

I love red bays with stark black manes and tails, but hate that they fade out.
I just dye my horses mane and tail because refuse to have a crispy bay lol!

All Righty, yes it does I thought thats what you meant, lol. I'm sure a good coloring and conditioner would do the job. Has the mane and tail always been this way?

Does she have a thick mane are just so so kinda on the thin side? Maybe a good deworming would help out some and have heard that uclers cause dry hair. Just throwing this out there. Edit cause I forgot a word..

Thats acutally a very good idea! I'll try that she's due for an Equimax anyway. She's a grumpy mare but no real reason for the grumpiness I should try an ulcer treatment.
