Got alot on my mind and lots of things going on in my life...so i wanted to switch gears today and just think about something different. I am doing some major down sizing but I will be keeping my blind mare Miss JB 0617. She is currently in foal to my stallion Fuel My Fire but due to some life changes im having to sell him and I think as of right now sell is pending and if a ll goes through he will be gone for 2016 season. So im thinking what would be the best cross for her? Her sire speaks for him self and her dam had an SI of 105 and was AAAT her dam also produced some winners of over $200,000 as well as proven barrel horses. My mare never got to really prove herself she was with JB quarter horses and was futuriting when she got a viral infection that caused her to lose her vision. They bred her once to Chasin Firewater before I got her last year. Shes a BIG mare and large frammed.

what are you wanting to spend? Barrels or a track sire? Jess Jones is a favorite of mine, he has no DFC so would be a neat outcross. Frenchmans Guy or a good son of his. My favorite Fire Water Flit son is Firewater Finale and he throws some nice babies, is paid into about everything and they have a super resale value vs his stud fee.

just trying to get the public opinion on a stallion because I'll be breeding to sell so marketability is my biggest point, race or barrel. Also would like to be under $2,500

Not sure what his stud fee is, but for LA stallions the first one that popped into my head would be Furyofthewind.

I've been trying to talk a friend into breeding her RSE mare to my TB stud and I think yours would work good on a TB stud too. Not sure about the marketability there though.

And I think Streakin Ta Fame would cross well on her too.

Shawne Bug Leo out of Oklahoma.. stud fee was $2000 last year if I remember correctly. His foals are well built and seem to like to run.

Too bad Blazin Jetolena is out of your price range because my colt is bred like your foal would be. I adore him! It is a very proven cross as well so your foal would be easy to sell.

He's actually in TX at Weatherford Equine :)

Great choice, though. He is AMAZING in person - I love him!

The only fault I can see on your mare is that she appears hip high. What ever stallion you choose just be sure to avoid one with the same flaw. I would for sure cross her on something that is FF eligible for marketability purposes.
Super nice mare!

In my opinion, I'd still go with something FG bred. Guys Easy Jet maybe, someone else mentioned Frenchmans Fabulous, and I think that would be a good choice. But I really think FG is the way to go. If you went with FWF, I'd pick Firewater Finale or Cruisin On Firewater, just the way they are built. Whatever it is, I bet the baby is going to be something special. Of course, I think they all are...I love babies...foals, puppies, babies, I like them all. :)

I was able to track down her 2year old filly. This is my mares only foal she was a embryo baby.  This filly is by Chasin Firewater. Im pretty impressed and the owners say she is very willing and great nature.

I would love to see her crossed on First Down French. A friend of mine has a FDF filly out of a Royal Quick Dash daughter and they really like her.
