I know a lot of barrel racers like forward hung stirrups but why? I come from a riding background of English (or at least I was taught to have a very aligned seat) so whenever I see a barrel racer with forward hung stirrups it just looks uncomfortable and odd to me lol.
The forward hung stirrup made me ride with much more confidence. Getting my feet behind made my body feel like i was going over his head now and then!, Especially if you have a horse thans runs up and rates hard
