I have used them for a number of years and they have good and bad points. I like them because we use a manure spreader and it degrades really quickly, unlike shavings. It also is easier to clean a stall and you have less waste (I use a fine tine plastic fork). I don't like that they get very dusty and if I am having a horse in for any long time period I will often add shavings on top to keep dust down. My horses all tried to eat it when they first went on it - it really looks like pellet feed. I was kind of like 'Jackpot!.. munch munch.. spit it out... give me disgusted looks and switch to hay' they figure out it doesn't taste good real quick and then don't eat it again.

Just started this the last week I mix the pellet shavings with regular shavings. Made bed extra soft and also both are lasting longer! Even tho it has rained for five days. My horse is penned up with stall and run and is still staying dry.
