| I love her. I really do, but I'm going to have to bash her over the head with a shovel of manure. When she first moved in she complained to me that it was cruel to blindfold my horses. They need to see. (fly mask) Then a couple months ago she called to make sure I was okay because she heard hubby and I arguing outside...(trailer loading stubborn horse) and yesterday, well, yesterday my son saddled up a cold backed horse and was riding along the fence line when from out of no where she shows up waving two new shirts she bought for him on clearance. Like two big colorful flags at a Nascar race there she is screaming and waving...
Son is fine. Horse spooked in place. Literally stood like a frozen, terrified statue.
Nicest lady I know, but I'm gonna have to have a sit down with her on protocol.  |

| She's so sweet though. At first I wasn't sure how to handle her kindness. Really. She is very giving and thoughtful. She just cracks me up with her antics though. |

Scarey part was, cop was siding with her at first! ( Another city slicker). He tried to tell me that I should hire a medical professional to do that for me.. I simply asked if he hired a doctor to clean his, and explained that I clean my own as well. I offered up my vet's phone number for him to call and confirm I was indeed authorized to do such invasive tasks. He actually called her. She said it was the most fun conversation she had since being a vet. So I am probably known as the dirty old man at the end of the road. |

| Gotta love the city folks. At the San Antone rodeo one year there was an older couple behind us. When it was time for the doggin' the woman asked the man what they were trying to do, fall off? His answer was and I quote, "No honey, they are trying to get on the other horse from across the cow." My dad about busted a gut laughing. Thankfully the dogger flipped his steer for the winning time and the old guy didn't hear my dad for all the applause. |

Also had a guy upset at me for "tying my horses head down"...with a Martingale...A running martingale... He was 4!!! I was expo-ing him and loping the pattern lol He said if my horse wasn't trained enough I shouldn't bring hmi in public... Bahaha!! Yeah, Ok. |

OMG! That is hilarious. The funniest thing I've had happen so far is I taught my non-horsey brother how to stack hay this year. Imagine a 130 pound girl teaching her 185 pound brother how to stack hay.   |

Location: Kansas | Ours shoot guns with live ammo in their back yard. They say you can do anything you want to if you live in the country. They live in a cul de sac. There's no direction they can shoot without someone or something "alive" directly in their path. Calling the cops has certainly toned them down. Sadly the beautiful feral cats who were always welcome to eat the catfood in my barn and lounge around as long as they wanted are all now dead. |
