I know some of you on here are horse nerds like me, so I thought you might be interested in a blog post series I've been working on. We ended up moving not long after I started the blog and I haven't had internet service at home since then, so my posts are few and very far between, but I should have all of these (planning on 3 total) posted in the next week. Today's post was about rider performance and basic NFR related stats, the next two will be talking about individual horse performance and bloodlines. Hope you enjoy!

Very cool. Also being a barrel racing and NFR nerd I have all riders and horses (that I could find) from 1991 until last year. I keep wanting to compile all my stats as you have done, but just never have found the time or find something new I want to track and start all over again! LOL.

I'd like to see a breakdown of the weights and ages of the horses and riders.  The Canadian Finals used to show rider weights on their profiles.  I haven't looked to see if they still do.  The weight percentage of the rider has always interested me.

I went back and looked through some of the data I have also amasssed because I was curious about no one winning from the 4th draw position as you had found from 2010-2014. I have only had time to check 2001-2009, but in 2001 alone there were 4 people that won the round when they were 4th out (Kay Blandford rd.1, Janet Stover rd.4, Charmayne James rd.6, and Jennifer Wilson rd.8).  Being 4th out and winning the 4th round seemed to be thr trick because in 2004 Denise Adams also won the 4th round being 4th out as did Shali Lord in 2005.
