Who is your favorite NFR horse? Doesn't have to be one this year, last year or even 10 years ago. Feel free to post a picture to go along with your choice.

I would have to choose Nilla. I loved watching Nilla at the 2012 NFR. Something about this horse just caught my attention.

Oh so many...
Magnolia Missle, because I saw him run in person a couple of times when I was 16 and he was an impressive mass of muscle and athleticism.

Fire Water Fiesta. Loved watching her.

Louie is absolutely amazing to watch.

Stingray of course.

I liked twisted sister from last year(or was it 2 years ago), and Rascal from years ago.

I do hope we see Taylor Jacob take Sissy B Gold down the alley this year- she is owned by our very own (in)famous RWR. She is quite the mare!

Martha is my all time favorite- to the point where even my very non-horsey husband can recognize her in a picture. He can't recognize the horses in the back pasture.

Always liked Xtrared too. I was really glad to see her name pop back up at Salinas this year.

Martha! - Because she's from Figure 9, and so is my gelding. He is her twin right down to the brand so I'm always going to cheer for her
and Louie!! Love that solid, consistent little gelding.
I did plan to be a cheerleader for Blaze Man in the 2015 NFR, but it looks like I'll have to wait until 2016 to watch him win it all.

 Who?
he's actually one of my favs. Bozo, Jethro, Slim, Hawk and Stingray. All steady Freddy's and I guess I admire something about each and every one if we got down to it. They and their jockeys are tough as nails, have to be to travel and compete all year long.

I kind of like ole Bozo too.  I wonder if he is still alive?  Not a better name than names like Scamper, Bozo, Jethro, Stingray, Duke.......... those are good winning horse names.

Twisted Sister was one wicked mare if the jockey kept up. She looks like one TWISTED ride, that's for sure.

I also am rooting for Nonstop Firewater gelding, Fashionable Boy, this year. I'm a bit biased though, because I can't wait to have the half sibling via Nonstop in the mare in my profile pic's oven this spring. haha

eta, pretty sure that bozo is still around, last I saw, think it was last year, Jordan posted a picture of him out in the pasture.

Seems to me like the only time that mare made a run at the NFR, her jockey kept up well enough to place quite well ;)

Those are all good horse names too! A good horse needs a good name!

Can't forget the consistent Deb Mohan's Brown.  What a solid horse!

Exactly, she placed, so her jockey must've kept up ;) . I didn't say it like 'oh that rider sucks', I said it as '**** she looks hard as hell to sit'. I mean, not so often are NFR horses running in in vertical position. I wish they would've ran her more, she was faster than the other horse they had (a lot less sane, but brains don't matter to the clock. haha).

Silly Filly - 2015-12-02 9:40 AM Love Louie, but I think JJ is going to make his mark this year.

Woot Woot, JJ sneaked in there and won the round!  Told ya I liked him and Cassidy!  Just wish the camera had been on them a little earlier.

Has to be JJ this year, but Louie and Sting Ray are still at the top also.

JJ because our neighbor's family bred him, and our friend trained and ran him in the futurities!!

And it is nice to see some new faces!!

I love Louie & Bling! My other favorites are Stingray, Dolly, Firewater Fiesta, Bo, Dillon, & Martha. I've been watching Bling for several years now at big barrel races. I think she is going to make some smoking runs this week.
