| You know the ground is bad when Chase Cervi has a pickup horse fall. I've seen him work in some trashy pens and never have a problem.
Shawn Davis runs the NFR. He also owns the dirt they haul in and he charges a ton of money for it. That right there is why Charmayne and Busby's were turned down on their VERY generous offer to pay for new dirt. Shawn Davis wouldn't be making a dime if he took them up on that offer.

And she will NOT be riding Baby Flo for the rest of the performances. Baby Flo deserves better ground!! She was so upset she was brought to tears! I love the person Fallon has become for barrel racing!!
Edited: I didn't see the snap chat, and misunderstood!! She will be on Baby Flo! Thank Y'all for correcting me! I don't want to start rumors! lol

I saw it, and she said that she WILL stay on Flo for the rest as the 1st barrel (Right) looks more dangerous than the left.
I can't wait to hear what comes of what she said, hopefully she doesn't get fined since it is true! |

I saw her snapchat and from what i gathered, she will not be switching horses because she is afraid to run into the right barrel first. She was very upset in her snapchat about ground conditions. She said Babyflo was fine but she felt she failed her. |

Oh ok!! good! I love watching her and Baby Flo run! I had dozed off when my daughter asked if barrels had ran yet, she said Fallon just did a snap chat, and now I have to stay up and watch....But my daughter left early this morning to go back to college and finish her exams, so I didn't get to find out exactly what she said with a clear head...lol |

She said she will be staying on baby flo because she's scared to run to the right barrel first, she feels that's side is more dangerous than going to the left. |

Location: Fort Worth / Springtown | I was discussing this with someone, yesterday, before Round 7. There's always those that say "not all the horses seem to be having a problem with it. One of the racers in her win interview said the ground is great and seems to be the same whether you run first or last. And Fallon seems to be doing fine."
I said, Fallon signed the Petition...
And then I watch Round 7.....
Hate that for the girls and the horses!

But as a consumer of barrel racing at the NFR and other venues, as a supporter of the barrel racing industry who spends MOST of my time and income supporting barrel racing from breeding, incentive funds and televised events, I don't WANT to watch good horses and riders risk their health and life on ground that isn't going to hold them. I WANT to see them run to the best of their individual ability on ground that allows them to excel. It's time to get rid of the attitude of disrespect from the authorities who have the power to change this.  |
