| Looking for products to look into for the above. A friend of mine has taken on a filly that has a bone cyst in one pastern and the other hind pastern is fusing. The owners were going to put her down and she wants to give the filly a chance. Please post products and your experiences. Here are the ones I have heard of and welcome any and all experience with them:
Osphos
CalDensity
ECJR
Equi-Bone
Tildren
A-Cell

Balance Beam and more...

Location: 31 lengths farms | We used OsPhos on my 15 year old gelding who had recently started coming up sore in the right front, had x-rays done, showed some issues with his coffin bone and navicular, nothing drastic, caught it pretty early. Gave him the shot on October 10th, did a shoeing change, nothing to drastic the first the shoeing, pulled the toe in and balanced the heel, also found a huge old abscess in the one bar. 3 weeks later at his appointment to have the abscessed area rechecked he passed a lameness exam on hard uneven ground and groomed ground. Knock on wood he hasn't taken a lame step since.
We also started him on Cur-Ost total support.

| Tildren, I have used, on cysts, but the cyst cannot be calcified, otherwise it will not reabsorb.
I have used it on broken bones as well, but there is a certain timeframe tildren is effective, otherwise it is a waste of money.
A cell I have used on broken bones, and currently have one horse whose splint bone was split into two no lameness, no pain, obvious deformity, was at trainers for 2 months, vet says occurred 4-6 week as per exam, no healing occurred, pinned the splint, 2 weeks later, still no bone remodelling, acell inserted, instantly the leg changes, no heat, swelling decreased (she did have surgery), a week later bone remodelling occurring.

| thank you. I assume the cyst is old (6 mos at least). I am not sure about calcification. | |

The cyst I had was atleast 4 months, and wasn't calcified, tildren used cause the horse to reabsorb it, X-rays a month later no evidence of the cyst.
