I would love to go to a Buck Brannaman clinic, but the only one listed is at his ranch in Sheridan. Unfortunately, I can't make the drive this year.
I also looked into a Chris Cox clinic, but it's on my daughter's birthday, and super expensive!
Any other suggestions?

He does still do a few 'community clinics' in different states.  Check his website for his schedule and there might be one closer.  He definetly worth the money.
I attend every year when he comes to Florida and learn something new each time.  He is an AWEsome teacher and a wealth of knowledge.

Too bad you didn't live closer, he's coming to Maine in September 2016. I've been to one but it was not colt breaking. I didn't think he did those anymore, just horsemanship.

I'd call him and get an updated schedule. They've already set the dates for when he is coming to my town this next year; it's been announced locally just not posted. He comes here every year and he really is one of the very best.

He does colt breaking followed by horsemanship every year in E Wa. It ends up being two weeks or so that he's here.

If you plan to start a colt, go to Buster McLaurey.

Wish he would do one here but he'll only do the horsemanship 1 & 2. Would have loved to attend his colt training!

Is this open to the public? If so, where can I get info?
eta: I found info about horsemanship, but not a colt starting option.

The presenters will be starting the colts as a demonstration. Horsemanship is available to sign up. There is really a lot going on over the three days. As I said earlier, if you can take your colt to a Buster McLaury clinic you will be glad that you did. He is amazing.
