Since we just joined a new club and are pretty devoted to buckling down and incorporating fitness into our every day lives... I decided to buy him a bunch of new gym clothes and a bag since he has one pair of shorts he likes and his t shirts that are dying a very slow death. I don't know why but I like to stick to themes with gifts for some reason.

SO....
What'd ya buy your persons?

We don't typically buy anything big for each other and my husband sometimes gets the raw end because it is his birthday around Christmas. So, this year I bought him a Smith and Wesson 686 .357 Magnum Talo Edition with a 7" barrel. It beats his normal presents that are "necessary".

I bought him a really nice pair of Leopold binoculars. He broke his cheapo pair of binos during elk season this year.

I got a new MacBook Pro for Christmas because my old laptop got fried after a power surge, and I lost about 20k words of a novel. I've managed to recover about 14k, on my new laptop. Ieee!

This year I ordered mine a replacement buckle. We lost everything in a fire almost two years ago so Christmas is when I get to replace some of the things that weren't a necessity right after the fire. Last year I replaced a nice rodeo jacket, my husbands a bullfighter, so this year I got his partner to send me a pic of his buckle which is the same one, sent it up to Montana and they made one almost identical. Hope he likes it. I'm sure we will eventually get to the day where we don't buy for one another. We kinda both buy what we want, makes it a little harder.

One of the best presents ever!  You need a bow on the mailbox or front door when you get it done.

I got a new Tahoe in September.  The only things on my Christmas list this year were an AP Breyer and a big bow on the Tahoe Christmas morning.

We think so too! I'm sure Santa will visit and fill our stockings and there will be a few presents under the tree for our son but other than that nothing more! And I like the bow on the mailbox idea! Definitely must do when we close on it next month

Some windproof/waterproof gloves.
And some hearing protection for when he goes hunting.

Can I ask for those who don't buy gifts

Do you celebrate christmas?

If so what do you do?

I am not criticizing or judging, I am wondering does the no gifts impact the spirit of Christmas?

Oh you bet we Celebrate Christmas, me and hubby and our sons if our oldest is not working and their families, we all go to the square here in town and listen to Christmas songs and sing alongs that our church puts on on Christmas Eve its so much fun, then we have Christmas here at the house and have fun watching the grandkids open their presents and then Santa pays a visit...
Hubby and I have been married for 35 years, we buy all year long what we want, but Christmas is the celebration of baby Jesus, so we celebrate the birth of Christ and each other and our family.

We were walking through Best Buy and my fiance spotted a Keurig he wanted - so I told him I would purchase it as his Christmas gift. I also had already bought him two Cinch western shirts, a Cinch hoodie, and two pairs of cinch jeans, since he NEVER buys clothes for himself lol.

He bought me a Nikon DSLR camera that I was eyeing up.

Doesn't impact the spirit of Christmas at all.   I buy for my kids, ages 22-26 and my parents.   The grand baby is only 8 months old so he does not know what Christmas is, he lives next door and I buy him something for him every other day. I bought him a ton of stuff but already showed it to my daughter.  My husband and I really do buy what we want all year.  He makes a ton of money and I am quite spoiled.   While buying for others this Christmas, I found quite a few things for myself ????.  I spend a lot of money, I would say  his gift is he never complains about the gigantic cc bill. ( we do pay it off every month, never pay interest) and my gift to him is you don't have to shop for me, I already took care of that.   I did buy him some Columbia pullovers-nothing big or exciting.

I got my husband a table saw and a couple weeks ago he bought one for himself.  So he got his Christmas present early.  Since he wasn't going to have anything under the tree I got him a few shirts, a new hat, some spices and a light for the grill.

His birthday is the day after Christmas and I got him 5 laps around a racetrack in an Aston Martin!  He loves super cars so that should be a blast.

My husband and I don't exchange presents for Christmas or birthdays. Like so many others said we'll buy what we want/need throughout the year.

Aside from that yes we definitely celebrate Christmas. As I get older I recognize more of the traditions that we used to "have" to do as kids, now I see as stepping stones to the excitement of Christmas. The community carol sing at church 3 weeks ago that leads to the adult choir cantata a week ago which leads to the children's Christmas program yesterday. We have a party Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with families. We used to exchange presents at every party and it got to a point where we were spending a lot of money on "nothing" cause no one knew what to buy each other. We put an end to it with 2 parties and the other party we can only spend $15 per present.

We don't typically buy for each other, but this year we are going away for a few days after Christmas so that's our present to each other.

Hubby paid the $320 vet bill for taking the dog to the  vet today and I will pay the $330 bill for today's propane delivery. The dog will stop itching and our house will stay warm. Merry Christmas to us.

I bought him some Carhart T-Shirts and jeans, a fancy blue tooth meat thermometer to use when he is smoking meats, a new cover for his smoker, some smoking wood (can you tell we like to smoke and EAT)! - For stocking stuffers, fishing lures, those hand warmers, some fancy shower gel from Bath and Body works, some Burt's Bee's stuff, socks and some candy.

I got mine a camo WVU ball cap he really liked when we were out at Dicks, a deer hanger and pulle system for where he hangs his deer, a few $1 stocking stuffers, and Eric Church concert tickets (his favorite singer)!

I got my husband a phone scope that attaches to his spotting scope so he can take photos/videos with his phone. He got me a new pair of muck boots.

I bought my husband a new Mac desktop computer. It is sorta mine too. Plus, it will give me motivation to finish our office. He is typically pretty hard to shop for.

We have no kids so we only shop for each other and the dog! I've been shopping for the past 3 months and it's all wrapped under the tree so there's no way I can remember what all is under there.. I'll be just as surprised as he is! I know I did get him for his main gift, some radio thing he wanted for his truck. Also, I had some TX flag bell boots made, some reins, a couple books with guitar chords, Eight Crazy Nights (we love that movie!) and that's about all I can remember out of about 30 wrapped presents under the tree for him right now!

My wife got me a new Burns 10X hat, and I got my wife a Dewalt router and bit set.  I'm pretty excited for my new router...I mean her new router! lol

LOL! Love it! My husband got "me" a Parma Arena groomer a couple of years ago. He LOVES it for getting seed beds ready when farming in the spring.

cheryl makofka - 2015-12-20 8:07 PM Can I ask for those who don't buy gifts Do you celebrate christmas? If so what do you do? I am not criticizing or judging, I am wondering does the no gifts impact the spirit of Christmas?

Adopt me!
