I have coming 20 year old. She had one foal. We lost him at 4 mos due to vet error in diagnosing him. He was born in January which may have made things worse of both of them. She is really nice mare but didnt produce a lot of milk. Should i take the chance and breed her again?

If I am reading this right, she was 19 when she had her first foal--correct ??? A lot of times older mares will not milk well with their first foal---it would not concern me to breed her again.

Agreed. I would take her to a good repro vet and have her examined first.
If she was a bad milker at 14, it stands to reason she would be even worse now with added age.
A mare that has been dry this long and 21 years old // 22 at birthing if she got infoal .. she would have to have a tremendous pedigree for me to make a decision to try breed her.
