I'm a little further south in south Alabama. We have a lot of flooding. At 630am we had had a little over 8 inches and it's still storming. The river here is at 29 feet. 30 feet is flood stage. They are saying it's rising 1.5ft per hour.

Praying for all of you...I feel horrible. I was pretty whiny and pathetic the last few days as my mom who passed away in July had had her stroke that sent her to a facility on Christmas in 2013 and it has taken the fun out of Christmas for me, however I realized today I was also blessed to get to spend almost 2 more years with my mom. Some have lost everything today. Bless you all.

I know what you mean---there is so much going on in my life right now and earlier today I just was not in the spirit and was thinking "poor me." Went to my momma's this afternoon to help get groceries in and lined out for tonight. Spent time with her and Daddy (they had been in TX hunting with son and his girlfriend) and just felt better. Then tonight we were around some old friends and my parents---and it suddenly dawned on me how blessed I am to have both my parents alive and in overall good health and just 1 1/2 miles down the road from me. Kicked myself in the rear and decided to buck up and thank the good Lord for all my tremendous blessings. Too many folks out there with no family and no friends and so much worse off than me. I am so thankful for my family and friends and life I live. I need to remember to thank Him every single day for what I have. . .
Merry Christmas to everyone and prayers for the ones in harm's way for whatever reason
