Has anyone been through one of these programs? What are the pros and cons of this field? Does anyone use an Equine dentist vs a vet? Just looking for input on the field and career. Thank!

You can take a course, but you still have to have a vet license in order to sedate the horse. Just an FYI in case you didn't realize that.

In some states I think you have to be a vet to even do dentistry if I'm not mistaken. Or you have to work under the supervision of a vet. I think it would be a great and rewarding profession!

I did know one of the biggests cons was that administering sedation was a bit of an issue. Curious to hear if anyone has taken the courses and is practicing, if they could expand on how they work with or around that.
