Someone else posted a similar concern and it made me want to ask as well.
I've always wanted to live in a different state. I'm currently in the north wanting to be in the south! All I'd need is a new job and I could go. I'm almost 30 and have just one pet. I've traveled all over the world. But I still just can't get myself to go for the move. I think what most upsets me is if something were to happen to an immediate family member I wouldn't be just a drive away and would be afraid I couldn't get there. My family means everything to me. What do you guys think? And advice please!!

That's a very tough decision. You could try it temporarily (6 months or so) and see how you like it. However, if you really like being close to family, it may not work for you. You could always try to convince them all to move south - it's nice and warm here (and year-round barrel racing)!

I know! Hehe I don't know what my deal is? I love an adventure! Change is always scary but usually that's a good thing. And now would be the best time to do it - I know people have done it with more and harder situations. Possibly it doesn't help that I HATE flying but also, Maybe I'm just looking for more reassurance about how great you southerners really are! Haha

With great risks is the possibility for great rewards....take the chance! It can be very gratifying knowing that you can totally make it on your own without that safety net of a family member to save you if something happens. It may make you appreciate them even more.
