| When we pray , we are depending on The Lord.
When we do not pray, we are depending on ourselves.
In Psalm 16 , David declared that his trust was in God alone. In Psalm 17, Davis is facing teat and trials, and so he employed his trust in God and called upon The Lord continually. David wanted God to Gerard him and protect him from the assaults of life.
Choose to pray today. Choose to pray every day. When you pray, and perhaps don't know what to say, pray God's Word.
Psalm 17:1-15 Hear a just cause , O Lord, attend my cry; Give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips. let my vindication come from Your presence; Let our eyes look on the things upright.
you have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. Concerning the words of men, By the words of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. Uphold my steps in Your paths, That my footsteps may not slip. They have closed up their far hearts; with their mouth they speak proudly. they have surround us in our steps; They have set their eyes, crouching down to the earth. As a lion eager to tear his prey, and like a young lion lurking in secret places. Arise , O Lord, comfront him, cast him down; deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword, With Your hand feom mean, O Lord, from men of the world who have their portion in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. they are satisfied children, and leave their possessions for their babes. as for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.
For it is WITH God all things are possible
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You AMEN
PLEASE pray for Billy Echols, back in,surgery this morning, Mary F Carter, surgery yesterday remove blood clots dealing with cancer, side effect of Chemo, has gout. Jerry Flippen, hospital with internal bleeding, Tersa Hart, relearning from stroke, can't sleep , wants to walk again. So many unmentioned, Father Lay Your hand of grace to heal, guide and comfort AMEN
