I got an oil diffuser for Christmas and it came with Peppermint and Lavendar oil. I have always been into essential oils but a little scared to use them. THis diffuser makes it so easy. For those of you that diffuse oils, which are your favorites? Looking for new options.

Love mine, but am partial to the citrus oils but I think I will try some blends especially the cold season weather.

I absolutely love them.

My favorites for the diffuser:

Clove and Orange
Thieves and Lemon (to clear musty air out)
Lavender and Copaiba (when I need comforting)
Lemon and Orange (after cooking breakfast to clean the air up and energize me)

I'm an essential oil fan. I sleep with lavender, frankincense and eucalyptus diffusing. Changed my life. I was burned out and clinically exhausted from stress and lack of quality sleep. I had all the health problems that go along with it. Two years later with proper sleep I am so much better. Now, I just need to lose all the weight I gained from being so unhealthy.

I diffuse an oil or a combo of oils every night depending on what I feel I need. I'm very drawn to the citrus scents, valor, Purification and Thieves.

Where did you all get your diffusers? I have 2 but thinking about getting another one for the office. What kind of oil would work in an office to help me stay awake in the afternoons?

My favorite diffuser is the one I got from Young Living but it is pricey. I bought another one for my dogs room off of EBay for just a little over $30.00.

I got my diffuser at my local health food store. Its ultrasonic so it cost me $40 and it runs off tap water. I tried putting in bottled and it wouldn't mist, changed out the water to tap and it misted right away.

Each diffuser will specify what kind of water to use. Tap water will clog up some of the diffusers while it's great for others.

I have been using them for a while and it's amazing how much it has helped everyone I've told about them... I LOVE to diffuse Valor & Sacred Mountain... my friend has sleep apnea so I told him to rub Valor on his feet before he goes to bed and to diffuse 5 drops of Lemongrass, 5 drops of Lavender, 2 drops Eucalyptus and a drop of peppermint... It has done WONDERS!!!! We never leave home without it and if we do, we will go get another one! It has definitely helped with not getting sick traveling to the races so far!

My absolute favorite to always have with me, not necessarily to diffuse, is Believe... it helps keep me centered and not anxious

I am a HUGE essential oil believer!!! Raindrop Therapy on the horses is amazing too!!!

My diffuser says to use distilled water only and that's what I use. I think if you use regular tap water, the minerals and things in tap water will stop the diffuser up.

I just started with the oils and yesterday was first day diffusing. I used DoTerra's Serenity and Breathe. We have had a bunch of rain which we are thankful for but being cooped up caused some crankiness in my house so the Serenity seemd to smooth out the ruffled feathers. Love it so far.

Young Living and doTERRA are the oils I trust. There are many people on here that are dealers for these companies as it's cheaper to become a distributor then to buy retail. As far as smelling them...You should have a distributor close to you that can help out with that. Most won't have all of them but there are about 10 oils that can cover quite a bit of problems.

Any local health food or organic store will have a good supply. Wamart even has some oils and diffusers in the vitamin section.

I teach high school. My first period class has several students that come from smoking homes. At the end of that class I can't seem to "clear the air" in my room so that it is not smokey all day. What oil(s) would be good for this?

I think DoTerra Purify would help...you could also add Lemon. Im sure YL also has one, but I dont know it...

Young Living Purification alone or with Lemon. I really crave lemon so I do half and half. I run this in our dogs room everyday.

It diffuses oil into the air, almost like a 'mister' but it doesn't mist.

Young Living's you add distilled water and a few drops of your choice of oil. Its pretty fab.

Melaleuca as also come out with oils - and they are nice .
They don't have as many as Young Living - yet.  But these oils are excellent also.
