Location: Rocky Mountains | So I have a nice mare I want to embryo transfer so she doesn't have to be one lay of for a year! The veterinarian said that his success rate for life goals for a young madden mare is 80% for live cover. But as soon as I brought up frozen and or cooled semen it dropped to 40! Why such a drastic drop! I mean horses are artificially impregnated all the time! And the succes rate for that is pretty high!
Do you feel 40% is worth it for a 15-30 hundred stud fee(haven't settled on a stud yet) cuz the live foal guarantee no longer applies with embryo transfer obviously |
