I need to ask my vet about costs, but first I want to ask you all to see if it is even feasible. How much does embryo transfer cost?
Here's the scenario: We have a really nice heeling mare who could make an awesome barrel horse. Heeling comes first though so I'd love to cross her with a nice barrel stud, flush her, and get a baby similar to her to have all to myself . We don't want to breed her because she is one of his two main horses and can't take that much time off. My parents have a few broodmares that we could potentially use as recips so purchasing a recip shouldn't be a factor in cost.
