Right now I have two 4 year olds that are broke well and need experience on the pattern. They have been worked on the pattern and have had lots of slow work done as well. My mare is a little farther than my gelding (he still needs to learn to switch over leads between first and second). Both have big motors but are very sane and safe.
With having two toddlers and working full time, I don't have time for both.
I'm looking for someone who doesn't just run, run, run the pattern and knows a decent amount. I'm not looking for someone to just run my horses into the ground and mess up their foundation training. Both know all reining basics.
These horses are my babies and I want to see them put to good use.
I'm located in Wisconsin and will allow someone to use one of them (prefer my gelding as he's not in training) and won't cost you anything but your expenses of running the rodeos. There will be a contract just to be safe.
I can send you more info of their breeding, training background, height/color, pics and videos if you send me an email.
:)
Please no tire kickers.

You're better off sending them to a reputable trainer to finish and season. Nobody (in their right mind) is going to throw their fees away at a rodeo to finish and season green 4 year olds, and it will take no time at all to ruin one. If you want a solid, sane, and willing horse for the long term, put the time and money into their training. Because paying someone to fix one is the pits.

I agree with Vanessa. Who will throw away their money rodeoing on a young horse who is likely not going to place? Also at 4.... That's a lot of pressure and they are not done growing.....good chance to hurt the horse.... Rodeo ground typically is not as good as jackpot/futurity ground. Remember whoever rides the horse doesn't have the connection to them as you do if they are your babies.... I would not do it. I have let someone rode a WINNING rodeo horse who was a good rider and looked after the horse very well but I would not do it again because the thought process for them is not the same as yours....

I agree with the above,,, why dont you send your horses to a trainer, they are not any where near finished to be hauling to rodeos, they need the experince of being exhibition not ran, paying entry fees is a waste of money and you are not going to find a rodeo that will let you exhibion a green horse.

This has to be the most bizarre offer ever......who in their right mind (that is wanting or ABLE to ride to WIN) is going to take YOUR horse and "foot the bill" for seasoning it without much chance of winning back anything.......

What Vanessa said... Fees are high, travel is expensive, and then they have a horse that they are training for free... If you were paying fees and the horse has been hauled to barrel races then MAYBE you could convince someone to put their time into your horses.

Maybe u could find someone to take them to 4d races instead of rodeos. Would be great if u could find a teenager that could come ride with u and could haul with u. ( someone that could ride well) u could supervise the horse. Contract would be absolutely necessary and frequent checking on horse. I lost my good horse to cancer and wouldn't mind an arrangement like this if I lived closer.

Normally you have to pay someone $800+ for this, and pay the fees, and the diesel.

Proven horses can be leased, but they better have a hella record.

Friends might take a horse for someone as you illustrate, but only if they're very close with a clear understanding, and only for a short period.

Your idea just has hate, discontent, and law suits written all over it. The type of people that would enter into this type of agreement willingly probably won't have the experience or funds to do right by you or your horses, either training, care, or anything wise.

I have someone ride my four year old. I pay the entry fees plus $1000 a month for her to finish my horse. Money well spent and I know she does run run run her and she will finished properly.

What Vanessa said.  I season plenty of horses for people, but I am paid to do that.  For some odd reason, I enjoy the finishing out and seasoning part.  Once they're solid, finished and been everywhere, I sell my personal horses and start back on other ones that need to be finished and seasoned.

With what I have read these horses need to be still in training not ready for rodeos.

Diddo to the above. If they are your babies and you have put the foundation on them, I would not want someone else to ruin what I have done. If you know a reputable trainer and they are someone that you TRUST, I would pay someone to put the time of them. Also if they are solid and broke, another idea is to put them out to pasture for a while and let them finish growing.

I recently did this with my four year old.. as I moved to another state and Couldn't bring him with me, so I put him out to pasture while I was gone. He had a pretty solid foundation.. took 2 1/2 months to bring him out, but when I got back on him it was like I never stopped riding him. He didn't miss a beat. It was amazing really.. not sure if it would be the same for your horses, but it could happen! I just wouldn't let anyone jump on my horses. That's a recipe for disaster.

Isn't this against the rules on here? I would think since you're advertising, you would have to buy a ad. I would certainly not want to take and haul young horses without a paycheck coming in. Its asking someone to train and finish your horses for free. Especially if you want someone who knows what they're doing, then you will have to reach into that bank account.

I have two gals in Texas that I can recommend to do what your wanting. Both charge 850 a month. There's plenty of rodeo's and really good jackpots for them here. You pay the entry fee's. Both girls can ride hot horses and know how to get more out of a lazy horse. They've ridden horses that can contend for "American" type events. Another gal has a very good reputation and she's 1500 a month you pay EF's lots of horses that run in vegas run with her during the year to keep them sharp for the gals that are making the finals. PM me if your serious.

Dont do it!!! Anybody willing to do this deal is nobody you want riding your horse. Then you will be stuck with a blown up mess and possibly lame. Then where are you? Stuck with nothing. If it's one or the other, then my advice is pick one, and sell the other. Cut your losses while your ahead. Then you will have the funds to pay the RIGHT person to put the time and miles on the one you keep.

Honestly this doesn't sound like a bad deal for someone who has the time or someone who has a finished horse that would like to jackpot on a younger one for FREE (except entries) I have done this before but ended up buying the horse 4 yrs later for a absolute steal. There are teens or ppl who aren't financially able to own their own horses I actually ride w 2 ppl every wknd that uses a lady's horses free they are both finished horses they even get to use the truck and trailer. Its like a free lease in my opinion and that's common...

That's what I was thinking too--this would be good for someone who either doesn't currently have a horse, or theirs is hurt and they just want to get out and ride without purchasing another horse. I was in that situation, my horse got hurt right after we started entering, and I was uncertain if he'd ever be sound enough for riding again. I had put so much work into him that I didn't want to start over from scratch again. I rode my sister's horses, but they needed so much work that I lost interest.
I ended up borrowing a friend's horse for the summer. I paid for his care and all our entry fees, and she in turn had a place for her horse to stay while she was moving.
So this is something that could be beneficial to each party.

We ended up doing something similar this past year. Free-leased a horse, paid all expenses.. Hock injections, feed, teeth, you name it. Ended up buying him and was blessed to buy a horse I tried for 6 months and give back if it didn't work! This could be a blessing to the right situation.
