Location: White Mountains of AZ | So, I'm back in college and taking English this semester. I have to write about a famous important person of 2015. I have no dang idea on who I think is, so I'm hoping for some ideas on who you think is?

| I mean think about it. What are you going to say about Trump...and I like the guy...but you could say that he made people follow politics again. Great....what elese?
You could say that C.Jenner raised awareness and debate about transgender people. Great...what else?
But AP....he made people pay attention to a sport again. He made people see the good side of racing, where horses want to do it, they do it because they love it, and they dont have to be forced. He was for many the first tripple crown part of history that some have seen in their lifetime, and who knows when again. He will go down in the history books as an Icon. His job is not over yet, as he will go one to hopefully produce great prospects and who knows....more winners.
I could say a lot more about AP this past year than I ever could any person.

Maybe use Bob Baffert instead of AP, if the professor is wanting a person.
Also, I think using Trump of Jenner has a lot more reasons than stated. Actually, you can use the reasonings for using AP with them also. Yes, Trump gets people talking about politics again, but there is an excitement about it. He's pushing the boundries, throwing PC out the window, could change a lot... healthcare, borders, etc. Lots of things can be rocked if he gets the nomination/Presidency.
I would pick a person you are most familiar with a really go through the layers as to why they are important. |

| You can write about someone that was important to many and outline why you don't think so.... Just because they were important doesn't mean you have to agree with why. Write about Jenner, he was probably the most talked about and controversial of 2015 and seen as important to many, I would outline why people thought he was important and then debunk it with my own personal view of why or why not.

That's the issue. I'm not very familiar with any "important famous" people or even people for that matter. Much better with horses haha but that's not going to be acceptable. |

I also like the idea of using the trainer instead of the horse. AP was actually what I thought of when she said famous important of 2015 ha but ruled it out because he is a horse. |

College level courses are going to be tougher that will require you to move outside your comfort zone and analyze. They are going to ask you WHY you think that way. Maybe this assignment you will have to research the person and get to know their life story and why they are significant. I like my horses also, but I would strive for something different here. |

Using AP is thinking outside the box, your professor might allow it. Can you ask him/her if AP would be acceptable? He was after all voted Sports Illustrated's Achievement of the year recipient. |

Location: OH | If you would go into the Bob Baffert/AP idea I would sure go at the angle of how Bob Baffert has changed and how that horse helped doing it. He was quite an a-s in his younger days and when he came back around with AP it was hard not to like him and root for the team. |

I'm betting it's going to be a lot of liberal kids, so they'll steer clean of Trump. If anything, it will be Jenner or Oprah. Oprah was always the winner at my college. Probably Hillary too. |

American Pharoah would be my first choice too though. |

What I am saying, is could you write about someone who is important to you and your life and why you consider them famous? This could win you some extra points plus it would be a fresh new idea that you could put a spin on it. |

| Austrailia's premier, she is protecting the rights of Australians, not bowing down to Muslim ideology.
Russia's leader Putin, he is scary, but I think is going to make Russia a powerful entity in the next few years. He is protecting the people of Russia, and is taking action on terrorists.
If you can google media articles published in China, Russia, even Ukraine, when he took over the peninsula, the eastern media for the most part were writing that the people of the peninsula were happy, they felt safe. Why he took this over was to protect the area, as this would be another Chernobyl if terrorists targeted it. |

I think there's many options....Putin, Trump.....can you pick a group?...Muslims....remember, famous and important doesn't mean good. Important is very debatable. That North Korean moron is famous.......if you want a grade, pick someone out of the box and sell your reason for picking that person. |

And that i s what I"m wanting to do, but it's finding that person I find influential. I think Fallon Taylor is, just because how she broke her neck, yet still kept her dreams alive, got better and really went after it. But I'm having a hard time finding the "cons" about her that my teacher is specifically wanting us to include. |
