Just saw this thread!!! my THREE YEAR OLD did it since day 1!!!! Flex tested absolutely sound. He creaks every darn step he takes. My vet says its sometimes AIR and sometimes just tight tendons etc. Just for fun I did an adequan series, still creaks. Then I did daily supplement, still creaks. He runs and turns hard so I have just let it go.. Sometimes I will sing songs in rhythm of his creaking as I warm him up. lol

This is what my vet told me about one of my guys. He creaked and crackled for a while. Then one day I noticed it just stopped. He's also had adequan and pentosan. Didn't stop the noise at the time.

This horse is 5 now so I am hoping as soon as he stops growing so will the creaking. If not, it just tells me he is still alive. lol Curost had no effect on his creaking either.. lol

Okay good to know! I am a little paranoid because I had a mare with very bad hocks that ended her career so I am nervous to have that happen again! I am on the fence about buying this horse eventually but it's a 13 year old with a very late start that's just now starting to run but since it's all I have to run barrels on this year I am going to be putting a lot of work into finishing and at the end of the year either my friend will sell her for a lot more money to someone else or I could just buy her and if and when she sells I can be the one getting paid for all the work I am putting in lol. But I was worried about possible soundness issues. I would vet check before I purchase but I have never done a vet check, had it done on horses I sold but never done one myself and wasn't sure how in depth the vet really gets?
