I am looking for a barrel prospect and am not having much luck finding something I like in the northwest within my budget. I have no idea what shipping would cost or if I should even consider shipping a horse I haven't seen in person much less been on. Advice?

Thank you that does help! I am in Oregon and most of what I am finding I like are in the southern states it seems but just started looking. I saw tons of horses I liked when I wasn't really looking of course lol! If I can find anything in OR, WA, Idaho, Montana or similar distance I would just go pick it up!

I sent you a PM but check with Wilfong Equine Services for hauling. Good people and very reasonable prices. They are Oregon based but haul everywhere.
Just had one from tx hauled to northern California for under 1000

I had a yearling shipped from Mississippi to Ohio 8 or 9 years ago and it only cost me $300. I got lucky because the shipper was from MI and was already going to TX and was picking up a very expensive horse from Babcock Ranch and bringing him back to MI and he had multiple other horses on and off the trailer during his round trip and I was the last pickup and his trip was pretty much already paid for by the other horses.
