| I've been looking at tack and i hate to invest in crystals if tooling is coming back, i have a saddle on order it has buck stitch,i was i. A store the other day and the buyer told me embellished pockets were out i e noticed the kimes ranch jeans are simple what will i do with my kippys and bb Simone i have a small fortune in them lol |

| Good gosh thank goodness bling is going out plah. I'm boring though I like REALLY good tooling , Buck stitching, high quality conchos and turquoise is about as blingy as I go. |

| Buy what you like. I prefer more traditional tack. I love the brown iron conchos. I do like some of the beaded tack also. |

Good quality beading and leatherwork never goes out of style. :)
But I think beading and fringe is what is "in" these days. I'm not all about the fringe though. Not my thing...... |

Sometimes its traditional tooling with a couple conchos, sometimes it's hot pink fringe and loads of crystals lol.
Right now I have 2 of the 4W sets with beading and blinged conchos.
I have a friend that buys, sells, and trades on FB so much that I swear she makes every run in a different set lol.
Trends come and go so fast it's hard to keep up if you want to. Make your own ;)
I have noticed that plain jeans seem to be coming back. But who knows lol. |

| I think bling has been so popular for so long now that it is taking a rest, and a back seat to other trends. I personally love beading, tooling, and studs. What ever happened to BB Simon belts? They were all the rage at one time. |

| Beaded tack has long been popular around here, but it's really taken off since it's gotten more popular everywhere else. I like it and the quality stuff is pretty cool.
Most everything I have is quality, plain Jane, leather. I was thinking I would like to get a new fancy set, but then I remembered why I can't have nice things as I unsaddled and knocked about 3" of mud off of everything :-/ |

I like what I like and fads be darned. I love the beading and am glad that it has made a comeback but own none of it because I am afraid that it won't take the wear and tear of everyday use. I am still loving my hair on breastcollars with the antique style conchos and don't care ft it is "out".
I also love the braided horse hair and braided rawhide stuff but it is also too expensive for everyday use. I have never been one to follow fads but find that the stuff I do like is REALLY expensive, lol Never did get into the bling. A little is tasteful a lot is garish IMHO, but I am not the one buying it and my opinion is mine only.
I've owned my set for going on 2 years now. It's held up really well. I use the breast collar every ride. The head stall stays on my running hack. So it stays in the trailer during the week.
As long as you get the good stuff, it should hold up fine. My beads are sewn on with buckstitch. They aren't coming off. If I feel they're dirty, I can wipe them off with a washcloth. That's all it takes to keep them clean. |

LOL. Two years doesn't even begin to meet my usage standards. I am using tack that is 10 and 20 years old. If I am going to spend the money, it's gotta last a loooong time.

Location: North Dakota | I do not think bling as a whole is going out of style. What I do think is the big, chunky, over the top, bling is taking a backseat to a little more reserved blingage. Beading is also quite popular, but to say it is new isn't really accurate. Its been popular since I was in high school and that was 20+ years ago. Buckstitch is timeless. Except I'm not a huge fan of all the colored buckstitch. Plain white or the bone color for this gal, on dark leather...super classy in my opinion.  |

But like someone else said, if you love it just buy and use it. That's the beauty of living in a free world...
