Location: Bastrop, Texas | I just heard that Billary and Bernie tied in the Iowa caucuses, so they flipped coins to determine the winner.
She must be proud of the fact that she had to rely on a coin toss to defeat a 74 yr old avowed socialist who is to the left of Obozo.
This stuff is just hilarious.....you can't make it up. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I think, if I heard correctly on the radio, that their were 6 precints that came down to coin flips, Hillary won all 6 of them. If Sanders had won half those he would have been declared the winner in Iowa. Really, a coin toss is what we came up with??? Who kicks off in a football game gets decided by a coin toss and look how many times that has been screwed up!

Location: Montana | I have to agree with crossspur about the future of our country resting on a coin toss. However, I do think it is funnier than heck that after Trump declined to go to the debate last week, he lost the caucus in Iowa to Cruz.

And another.. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton won six back-to-back coin tosses against opponent Bernie Sander's camp at a half-dozen Iowa precincts where voting results were too close to call Tuesday morning — a mathematical feat that raised eyebrows and a few questions. The 1-in-64 odds of Clinton successfully winning six coin flips across Polk, Jasper, Cedar and Johnson counties during a deadlocked Iowa caucus prompted confusion and concern from political experts and social media users. “It is curious,” said Dr. David Bridsell, Dean of the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College. “You don’t want the awarding of delegates to come down to heads or tails.”

If you all have never actually participated in a Caucus like Iowa it is an interesting part of our democratic process. There were several coin flips in differant counties across the state. This is actually something that has been done for a very long time. The vote is an actual head count in the room. If tied each side gets to try and get others to change their minds. But the coin flips were for delegates that go to the State level. Not six in a row in the same room, or evan the same county.
Think back 100 years.. citizens road to the county seat and decided who they would support at a state level. If 10 citizens were there and 5 backed person A and the other 5 backed person B they would flip a coin.
I find it sad that so many seemed to get a very short version of Civics in school. I find it fascinating.

| Npr has covered it for two days and has never mentioned a coin toss they stated it was won by a wafer thin margin, Wall Street journal covered it didn't mention it, i don't have television in my home so i depend on the radio i couldn't stand all the reality shows and the content that people watch i think it really effects people.
