Location: U.S. | I have a really nice daughter by first to shake six. I attached her papers. She is 15.3 built like a tank. Nice low hocks. Only fault her hoof wall is kind crappy.
She also has a full brother who won over 500k on the track.
I am torn between 4 studs and I need to send out a contract soon lol...
The studs I am thinking are :
Frostburns
Firewater Frost
Guys Canyon Moon
Firewater Frenchman
What do you think?
Who do you think would be the best cross?

| I think you are on the right track if you are trying to improve hoof quality. The Sun Frost horses have excellent feet as a general rule. My Sun Frost horse has the thickest wall and sole I've ever seen on a horse. Where I live we have super rocky hard ground, I've never seen any horses with the exception of some of the local mustangs that have as good of feet that can tollerate the rocks without shoes. If it were me, I'd see who will give me the best deal, especially since they are all kinda in the same resell catagory. |

| When looking for a stallion to bred to my mares (thank the lord I don't have to do this anymore, I put more time and effort researching crosses than my actual job) I like to look at the bottom side and research crosses that have produced from the dams line....
Therefore I would look at Fast Mans Dash (produced a runner of 120+ by Johnathan Perry) and Designer Dash(produced a stakes earner by Chicks Beduino) and find crosses that had been exceptional for them, then look at Heza Fast Man (who produced Heza Fast Dash, which best runners were on a Mr. Jess Perry mare,Game Patriot mare, and a Jody O Toole mare) and exceptional crosses on him, and finally the sire side, First To Shake Six (appears that his best runners majority wise were out of Runaway Winner bred mares)..... And of course over all I would want to improve the confirmation and athletic ability of the mare, ie you said foot.
I would not just settle on the 4 horses you have chosen, there are to many stallions out there to do that...if those 4 do not equal a perfect match with your mare, think outside the box.
In my opinion after looking at crosses that worked well on the lines of your mare I would go with something bred Streakin Lajolla and/ or Beduino. And since it appears you want a Frenchmans Guy I possibly try to find a Frenchmans Guy son with good feet that has a dam lines of Steakin La Jolla/Beduino. |

| think about firewater finale. i seen some of kids on here they all look good and ride good. if my mare had a little more run in her i would be breeding to him. her also has size and presense. his colts seem very user friendly and work with that firewater flirt turn. there was one on her last couple week, he was a looker and had a nice on a barrel. |

| Out of those choices I would choose Guys Canyon Moon, and then Firewater Frost. I like both of them but if your trying to up feet, I agree the sunfront horses have good feet. |

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | I apologize, I didn't read everything. Streaking Ta Fame, Firewater Canyon or Stoli.I'd pick Firewater Canyon first. I think you should look for stallions that turn...not overloading with speed. Blazin Jet o'Lena.....Frenchmans Fabulous....Royal and Famous is worth a look.
