Location: Missouri | Anyone know of any good clinicians that focus solely on groundwork? While I'd love to go to a Chris Cox or Clinton Anderson clinic, my pocketbook won't allow that. But, I won't be able to ride this year, and I'd still love to be able to further my horsemanship skills and strengthen my relationship with my horse for when I AM able to ride again. I'd watched the Cox and Anderson DVDs, but being more of a hands on learner, I think I'd benefit from an actual clinic. So, any clinics you would suggest? TIA! |

| Where are you located? We have a very good horseman in my area that does groundwork clinics. He also will be traveling to Pennsylvania this year |

| Clinton Anderson has a program in which he trains clinicians on his method. Maybe they would be cheaper. I don't know what it costs, but there are some details here: http://www.certifiedclinician.com/faq.aspx
Shayla Smock and I went to high school together. I recommend contacting her! She'll do you right. :)

Thank you! I'll have to look into this! They list prices and if I could find a clinic somewhat close to me, it's definitely more affordable |

Location: North texas | I have become a huge fan of Warwick Schiller. He has lots of free videos on YouTube and has a $25 monthly subscription to over 350 videos. What I like about him is the videos show him working with a problem horse for the first time, either in training with him or at his clinics. I have learned so much from watching him, so much more than I got out of Clinton Andersons videos and book. He is funny without being a jerk. It has totally changed my relationship with my horses for the better, especially my gelding that is usually very quiet and lazy but spooks at lot. I did not realize he was constantly carrying a big cup of worry around and holding it all in very quietly til something seemingly small would set him off. You also don't have to buy a certain stick or or flag. He shows you that you can use anything....lunge whip, rope, dressage whip, ect.

I've also seen him and liked his method. |

Location: Missouri | Livin- thank you! I don't think I'm friends with her on Fb but I'll look her up!
I watched a few Warwick Schiller videos last night and also saw that he's doing a clinic only 2.5 hrs from me in March. I'm sure it's full but his website states that they don't limit the amount of people who can come watch and it's pretty inexpensive! |

Location: Missouri | Are you participating or just going to watch? I was going to call and see if they had spots open, and then read that day 2 is riding. :/ |

Me? To Hannah's? I don't know when her next one is. She had one scheduled but then a horse emergency came up the day before so she canceled and said she would let us know when she decided to have it. Hers are kind of informal for sign up. She just post on her FB who can come on a certain weekend and you just FB message her yes or no. My daughter will participate in the next. I have to drive her there and I may bring a young horse of mine if her leg is healed up when she has it |

I'm sorry I misunderstood! I thought you meant the Warwick Schiller clinic in New Bloomfield in March. I feel stupid. :)I sent a friend request to Hannah, though! |
