Location: East Tennessee but who knows?! | I've seen a couple of FG nicely bred horses that were a pain and extremely temperamental and sensitive. I have a FG granddaughter out of a working cow horse mare. She's 15.2, extremely powerful and fast, catty, will work her heart out for you and has a ton of sense but she doesn't put up with much and you have to be careful with her. She's pretty sensitive.
I also have a FW grandson (Shawnee Bug on bottom) that's every bit of 15.3. He can fly, he's a dead head and a two year old could ride him. I give pony rides and lessons on him. Three rides in the guy that broke him roped a calf, tied it off, and doctored it off him. He is worth his weight in gold and I'd take ten more like him. Nothing phases him, you can do anything on him. I've shown him trail, sorted cows, tried a ranch class - in a snaffle. Made me a believe of FW horses.

My experience is opposite the own get and grand get of FG have been puppy dogs that kids could ride, they don't like to be drilled on though so can get a temper if you keep nagging at them.... My FWF grand get have been more sensitive and could be temperamental.
