I'm looking for reviews on both saddles.
My horse is short back, no withered boy. I had bought a cactus cj but it didn't fit him ( popped up in back ) A tod sloan b3 has come up for sale and from my understanding it's suppose to fit wider, stockier horses.
Anyone's opinion?
I've also heard that the Corrientes vary on saddle fit. Do you have one and how do/did you like it?

Are you just asking about the fit? Comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges when it comes to quality. Although I love Corriente for a lot of reasons they fall short of the basic Slone. For a cheaper well decently made saddle Corriente takes the cake, they seem to fit a wide variety of horses I have put them on. Corrientes are built on one tree where as the Slones have two options.

You can send pics of your horses back to the folks at Slone and they can tell you which tree will work best. There are 3 basic trees and then tons of modifications they can make to help it fit.
I only rode Slones years ago and got on several of the new fads. I am now back to riding Tod Slones and will not be switching.
FYI the #3 tree fits a flat back mutton withered horse quite well.
