The owners of Kat also own her half sister, Sassy (same sire) that looks very similar and is also AHHHHHMAZING!!!  Sassy has been a favorite of mine to watch for quite some time. Its a shame there arent many Catman Goldseekers on the market. I am sure their price tag may have just went up a little in lieu of recent events lol.

He does ride quite gracefully. Not that male riders arent good, just usually not as greaceful about it as women are. Dustin is great. I hope the best for him next week.

Did anyone notice how identical his first and second runs were at the semi's? Holy cow!! Talk about consitency.. Hopefully he doesn't let the pressure get to him.. I love Lisa & Louie but would love to see a new face & barrel racer take home part of the $1,000,000!

Good for him. It will be exciting, as usual, to see what happens during the American and who comes out on top!

That mare is just flat out consistent.  I watched many of the videos her last owner used to post and she makes the same honest run every single time!

I think my SO may have hauled Kat from OK to ID about 7 years ago when her last owner bought her.

It will be interesting to see how any of the Top 10 run against the NFR horses. Most of the horses in the Top 10 have some big rodeo experience, just not maybe with their current riders. Hopefully it will be some good watching. It was nice to see the ground more even this year in the rounds for the semi's, unlike last year. made for a good barrel race.

I think Nichole Mulligan deserves a ton of credit for this mare. I followed them for at least 5 years. That mare was super way back then, and Nichole did the hard work. She does a super job. Keep an eye out for more, because she has a bunch lined up. She has a Palomino, Gucci, who ran a 16.8 on a standard pattern as a 5 year old. That mare is lurking and I bet we'll be hearing about her soon. She's been sold as well. I really enjoy watching this tough lady work. Great attitude to boot.

I missed that. See what I mean? She's got some nice ones lined up. She's a heck of a mounted shooter as well. The Mulligans are a nice family. Bryel Mulligan owns LSOF and her husband and Nichole's are brothers, if I'm not mistaken. Heck of a horse family.

I think some credit should also go to Carol Hrdlicka, who owned Catman Goldseeker. She gave training advice on Kat to Nicole. No one knows the Catman Goldseeker (and Regers He Might) horses better than Carol and her daughter Denise when it comes to barrel racing. These bloodlines have sadly been underrated but are phenomenal.

I was hoping someone was going to mention that this mare was trained and shown by Nichole before she sold her. I think it's been barely a year since she sold her???? Someone else might not for sure.

Dustin is an amazing young man...humble, gracious, hard working, dedicated, caring and God loving.  And he can ride the hair off of most any horse you put him on!  He has a great style, very light and easy to ride behind. He's ridden for me and I'd let him again in a heatbeat. And Dustin is dedicated to the horses he rides and his clients. I can not think of a more deserving person to have this opportunity.

Yes Carol Hrdlicka and Denise have some amazing horses. Catman and Regers. Denise also raced a paint that was amazing also out of these bloodlines I think. Several, several years ago a very good horse woman and was a dear friend of mine who passed away from breast cancer had some barrel horse that were out of Regers and her stud (which I can't remember the name of her stud right now). I loved watching those horses. She lived around Dewey, OK.

Howdy Ya'll Long time! I thought my ears were ringing :D Kat is amazing and she deserves the best! I always knew she would go so far! Carol deserves a lot of credit also as she did talk me threw the first 2 yrs of training on Kat. She told me how to train and ride her as far as making her last and not blow her up. I did everything on this mare. Won rodeos, 1D's smoked 20 sec poles on her, mounted shooting! You name it! This mare is one of a kind and will give you the same run everytime! I knew I couldn't take her where she needed to go as I don't get to travel much having my own training and breeding business, so when Jenny flew up to meet us and tried her out I knew it was a perfect fit! Here's a great video I posted today on my fb!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJrFWaXCDLE

You can also keep up with Kat on her fb page! Feel free to like it and keep up with her during and after the AMERICAN! Cant wait to see Kat go and swoop up that million dollars! Dustin is the rider to do it too! What a great team Kat has with her, couldn't of asked for better!

There are a lot of Catman horses around here, they are tough tough horses.  You were very smart in listening to Carol, she is a top hand that knows those horses inside out.  If they are handled wrong it isn't pretty but when handled correctly they are awesome.  Congrats on doing such a good and smart job with that mare.

I loved getting to see him really hustle one! At the local shows he comes to he typically has youngsters, so there is a lot less hustle going on lol.
I've watched Dustin a lot, in exhibitions and after shows correcting horses...he is a kind, quiet rider. I've never seen him jerk on a colt or be too unforgiving. Even as a kid he could really jockey a horse.
We aren't "friends", but we've both been around the same crowds for years and I really hope he does well this weekend!

gatorhorse - 2016-02-23 10:02 AM Howdy Ya'll Long time! Here's a great video I posted today on my fb! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJrFWaXCDLE You can also keep up with Kat on her fb page! Feel free to like it and keep up with her during and after the AMERICAN! Cant wait to see Kat go and swoop up that million dollars! Dustin is the rider to do it too! What a great team Kat has with her, couldn't of asked for better! https://www.facebook.com/CatsGotYouirCash/

Carol is a treasure and top horseman.woman for sure. Congrats to all of them and to Gator for all her accomplishemnts.

Frodo, Funny comment since Ivy is leading the WPRA at that time. Did you get your answer today? Love those Catman's.
