Won almost $38K on the track and was a AAA. Used for trails and a Pony horse at the track afterwards. They person that currently has him has only had him about a month. She hasn't ridden him yet, as she is to busy and wants a horse already patterned. |

| Check out Equibase. Track records. (I looked, but her name wasn't recognised.)
HaHa- must have typed it wrong....found him.

| I like the name. It raises a red flag that she's only had it for a month and hasn't ridden it. I'd try the horse for yourself, get it vetted, and if the price is right THINK about it. Just cover your bases first. Maybe contact the previous owner and see what the story is too. |

I agree, nice set of papers to me. What did I miss that turned almost everyone else off? Just curious. |

Just as leery about people selling horses who came back from the trainer, but they haven't rode the horse yet. |

I think id put lady on first just to see how horse moves etc..The first thing I do when I buy a horse is do some ground work then get on.lol.. a month is a long time to have it standing around..

 Own It and Move On
Location: The edge of no where | How much do you know about the riding ability of the current owner? I'd probably go ride him and see what he was.....depending on age. If he was cheap, vetted and I liked how he felt when I got on, I'd probably take a chance if I wanted a project. There's about a million more variables that would go into the decision other than breeding that it's impossible to say off a set of papers. What distance did he win at running? |

Location: Missouri | I love a lot in his pedigree, Easy Jet, Raise Your Glass, Streakin La Jolla... So yes, I would definitely look at least! I have an awesome trainer friend that I would trust to help make the decision. Let us know if you get him! My mare is bred to a son of Fishers Dash and due in a month. I've only read good things about them, besides the negative comments on this board. So, hopefully it will be a good choice :) |

| I am going to look at him Saturday. I don't know what distances he raced at. She has been sick. IF I do buy him, he won't be just a barrel horse, he will be a ranch horse and possibly a pick up horse. He's got three "chances" to work out for us, then he's gone! |

I noticed they are selling some Fishers Dash grandget through the WYO sale. Surely they know how to work... Good luck! |

| I like his breeding myself, but I probably wouldn't based on that he had 27 starts. If he was super cheap and passed a vet check, I may be reconsider though.

| C'MON PEOPLE ...
Do your research instead of just looking ..
Horse has been OTT since 8-21-13 (2.5 years)
New owner ready to unload him after 1 month
Story ..
trail and pony horse ...
pony horse is one of the most grueling jobs a horse can have ...
Normal to pony one horse 2.5 miles ... 10/day/3 days/week .. 75 miles
(always the match race crowd to consider during 2.5 year off time)
Cribber, pacer, lameness, ornery, lazy, kicker or a nice well used horse??
Ran at $3500-5000 claimer
8.21.2013.........Last race
6.29.2013........ 4th owners
10.11.2012 ....... 3rd owners
5.9.2012 ........... 2nd owners
12.17.2010 .......original owners
2.16.2012......... first race
Have a reason to like or dislike a horse ...
bloodlines is not one of them ..
but your riding/horsemanship is of great concern
took about 3 minutes to generate this info ..
GOOD LUCK

Also research his racing results. Try to pull vet lists, see if he was ever on them after a race and for what. Any long breaks inbetween races? Usually a sign of injury, surgery, etc.
If you're going to do a full vet check, I say yes. I LOVE my off the track hosres, but if you're not, make sure price is right for trail horse resale

Too many outs, not a fan of some of the horses connections and the story of why she has only owned him a month sounds fishy, JMO of course. He may be awesome but my gut feeling is that he won't hold up for much of anything. I would pass unless I had time and money to spare. |

I honestly don't know if they keep records of horses that were on the vets list from that far back. |

Location: Texas | This horse is by Identity Theft....what horse has he produced in the barrel pen that has won? I can't think of one if any. He is out of a daughter of Toast To Dash.....again not much there maybe a few TTD that have done ok but we're probably mixed right with some barrel lines. SLJ is amazing on the bottom side but not with that top side and TTD. There is NO TURN in this horse at ALLLLLLL! Don't do it. |

Savannah Peaches (ridden by Mary Ogle) and Shesa Strawfly Dash (ridden by BJ Harris) are pretty nice. They're both by Identity Theft. A girl I used to HS rodeo with had one too that was 1d. I can't remember her name though.... I like Identity Theft :) |

| There are some incredibly good responses on this thread! Sometimes the rose-colored glasses get in the way of being able to fish out the horse's history and TRUE potential going forward. I would like to have a few of you in my back pocket when looking at horses, that's for sure. OP good luck! |

I unforunately only know how to pull the vet lists for CA. And yes, some are on there as far back as 2006
